Environment

Pennsylvania Resources Council (PRC) has a long and accomplished history stewarding resources to prevent waste and conserve the environment in pursuit of a Pennsylvania where nothing is wasted. Among PRC’s notable initiatives, the Zero Waste Program has operated since 2009 to help events, organizations, and governmental institutions reduce their environmental footprint. Since its inception, the program has diverted more than 1.35 million pounds of recyclable, reusable, and compostable materials from landfills at events alone. In an effort to protect climate and soil, PRC’s Zero Waste Program connects boots-on-the-ground efforts with education and legislation to effect tangible change in local and state organics waste diversion.
